The battle: Thousands of eBook authors vie for the same eyes. Here’s how to grab them on a promo budget of only $200.

Money can be had: Do about 20 things to greatly increase your chance of boosting $$$$ income…most don’t do them.

$$$ can be had… It takes hours to do a show like this, but you can upload it to several high profile sites…all free. Those sites work for you 24-7-365. Most authors don’t devote the hours…you should.

You can spend a LOT!!! of $ on ads to market an eBook; most ads won’t work… What works is gaining profile thru dozens of free and/or cheap options. Don’t roll a planet…

Most authors don’t devote the time: 

Most eBook authors won’t make much $. Not because they don’t want to, but because they won’t devote the time needed to do the right things that achieve profile CHEAP.

After several months, starting two blogs, two websites, and uploading dozens of YouTube videos and slideshows, my books are getting search engine traction. This took time, but not much money.

It’s a slow, deliberate process:

Do the following and you will have a pretty good promotional plan in place, better than most authors. Then, fine tune a bit each week for a year…this isn’t a fast process.

Visitors to online eBook retailers see about a dozen thumbnail-sized covers instantly, so yours has to pop! Not a time to be subtle!

YouTube is Free: 

Create PowerPoint shows, save the slides as jpegs and then use inexpensive video editing software to create YouTube shows with music or narration YouTube videos get higher Google ranking than simple websites

If you visit the YouTube video link at the beginning of this blog, what you see was created with Pinnacle Studio video software $60; Royalty Free Music track $30, Shutterstock photos $50. See next slide or enter URL below; a YouTube video can be created from still photos. Here’s another example:

Free Exposure: 

Start a free weblog on WordPress or Blogger and keep posting fresh commentaries about your passions. Don’t forget tags and categories so Google and other search engines can find you.

facebook is free: 

You can post links and promotional info to your heart’s content on facebook …as long as your friends don’t mind. If you have a lot of loyal friends, it can be a way to move some books.

Get Google Juice!:

Gotta get those 5-star reviews: 

Prospective readers need assurances that your book is good and worth the money. Get friends, relatives, coworkers, etc. etc. to buy and review and click those 5-stars.

Inexhaustible shelf life: 

eBooks never need to go stale; you can simply update your book(s) as needed and reissue a new fresh edition. New eBook editions are FREE and each reissue is a new marketing opportunity
